Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Data Collection Policy

Archnemix Adblocker is designed with your privacy as the foremost priority. We want to be absolutely clear:

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything happens locally on your device.

The extension operates entirely on your computer. No data is sent to our servers or any third-party servers. There is no registration, no login, and no tracking of your browsing habits.

Data We Don't Collect

To be explicitly clear, Archnemix Adblocker does not collect:

  • Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
  • Browsing history or search history
  • IP addresses or location data
  • Information about your contacts
  • Information about the websites you visit
  • Any data that could identify you personally

The extension has no backend server to send data to, even if we wanted to collect information.

How Stats Work

Archnemix includes a statistics feature that shows you how many ads and trackers have been blocked. Here's how it works:

  • All statistics are stored locally using Chrome's storage API (chrome.storage.local)
  • Statistical data never leaves your browser
  • Stats are based on counting blocking events with timestamps
  • You can view your stats at chrome-extension://nmfilchlgabeilhmmanbhjhpppnkoaoo/stats.html. Note: This link only works if the extension is installed.
  • If you uninstall the extension, all statistical data is permanently deleted

Local Storage

Archnemix uses Chrome's local storage for two purposes:

  • Extension Settings: Your preferred blocking mode and custom rules are stored locally
  • Statistics: Blocking events are recorded with timestamps to provide usage statistics

This data remains exclusively on your device and is never synchronized or transmitted to any server. The storage is sandboxed and only accessible by the extension itself.

Permissions Explanation

Like all ad blockers, Archnemix requires certain permissions to function properly:

  • DeclarativeNetRequest: Used to block ads and trackers directly in the browser without sending data to external servers.
  • DeclarativeNetRequestFeedback: Provides debug information about blocking rules so we can ensure ads are blocked correctly.
  • Storage: Saves your extension settings and statistics locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded or shared.
  • <all_urls> Permission: Allows Archnemix to block ads across every website you visit.
✅ The extension only uses this access to apply blocking rules locally in your browser.
✅ No browsing activity is collected, stored, or transmitted.
✅ You remain in full control — you can whitelist any websites where you want ads to remain unblocked.

These permissions are standard for ad blockers and are only used for their intended purpose: to block unwanted content and enhance your browsing experience.
